About Our Workshops

What is Lino Cut Printing

Lino Cut is a printmaking technique - a variant of woodcutting - in which a sheet of linoleum is used for a relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with a specialised cutting tool, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller (called a brayer), and then impressed onto paper or fabric. In our workshops we print by hand using a Baren or wooden spoon.

Private Events

Besides the bookable events we hold at various venues, we also offer booking for private events. A linocut printing workshop is a great creative activity to make your birthday, hen do or baby shower (for example) extra special! And you'll all leave with art prints created by hand, by you!
