Stockist Spotlight: Mosaic, Whitstable

Introducing a new feature to the blog, our 'Stockist Spotlight"! We love shining a light on the incredible independent shops that stock Fawn & Thistle — and this time, we're staying close to home (for me), introducing you to Whitstable's Mosaic.

Meet Mosaic & Shernaz

Run by the lovely Shernaz, Mosaic is an eclectic, independent shop in Whitstable known for its thoughtful curation of ethical, conscious and slow fashion. Every piece is carefully selected by Shernaz from around the world, bringing together distinctive designs and timeless styles that support both local makers and global talent.

As Shernaz puts it:

“We showcase the work of talented designers, sometimes using traditional techniques and skills and at other times not.”

It’s this mix of craftsmanship, creativity and curiosity that makes Mosaic such a joy to explore.

The Mosaic Vibe

Step through the doors and you’ll quickly understand why customers often describe Mosaic as “beautifully curated.” From the eclectic mix of clothing to the one-off accessories, or the beautiful artisan jewellery, it’s a space full of character, heart and independence.

When asked what she loves most about running an indie shop, Shernaz’s answer was simple:

“Independence!”

And that really sums up the spirit of Mosaic — bold, distinctive and unique.

Shop Small in Whitstable

If you’re visiting Whitstable, make sure to stop by Mosaic for a dose of indie shopping inspiration. And while you’re in town, Shernaz recommends a stop at Hubbard's Bakery to sample some of their tasty baked goods.

Why We Love Mosaic

We’re so proud to see Fawn & Thistle cards and gifts stocked at Mosaic, sitting alongside such a creative and carefully curated collection. Especially as Shernaz has been a supporter of Fawn & Thistle since the start, when she commissioned me to design her super popular Whitstable Map Tea Towels.

Shops like this are the heartbeat of the UK’s indie shopping scene, proving that small businesses bring something truly special to our high streets.

So next time you’re in Whitstable, make sure to visit Mosaic.
